Equestrian Trails, Inc. -- Dedicated to equine legislation, the acquisition and preservation of riding and hiking trails. ETI is also referred to as "National" because it has members in other states too. There are many equestrian activities and involvement opportunities in ETI such as the Trail Riding Awards Program (T.R.A.P.), yearly horse show conventions and trail trials (National Convention) and clinics.
ETI supports various equestrian events by the creation of "satellite" corrals throughout the region. These corrals host horse shows, trail rides, clinics, trail trials and other equestrian-related events. To find a Corral near you, visit their website at https://etinational.com. Membership is necessary because of ETI's liability insurance requirements. Typically, a person joins one corral and can be associated with other corrals, or you can become a "Member at Large" without any corral affiliation. Further, you can choose not to join any corral and participate as a non-member. A $5 insurance fee per event is charged. Further, a "Waiver and Release" must be completed at every event.
Each year, National hosts a horse show "Convention" which is part of its "High Point" program. The High Point program allows people to compete for end of year prizes and awards by participating in High Point shows and earning class points. This show is held at the Los Angeles Equestrian Center in Burbank, CA.
ETI also has a trial riding program where riders log their hours on the trail and compete for end of year prizes. Preserving equestrian trails is crucial and these logs provide valuable proof of the necessity of maintaining and creating riding trails. See information on the T.A.R.P. on their website.
